Heartbeat occurs by an electrical signal produced in a neighborhood of specialized cells within the guts |atrium dextrum|atrium cordis|atrium of the heart"> right atrium of the heart or upper right chamber of the heart that's also called the sinus node. Later this electrical signal goes to the atrioventricular (AV) node by moving down through the guts . The function of the AV node is to hamper the electrical current before passing through the lower chambers of the guts . On arrival of the electrical current within the lower chambers of the guts , it helps blood to pump bent the entire body.
